Extensive outdoor remains of one of Roman Britain’s largest cities, included in English Heritage’s official list of dog-friendly properties.
Keep dogs on leads around the ruins and check current access to the museum and reconstructed town house before visiting. The site includes uneven grass, gravel, low walls and unfenced drops; a dog-water bowl is available outside the shop.
Know before you go
Confirm the current opening hours, any booking requirements and the specific areas your dog can use. A dog-friendly listing is not a promise of access to every part of a venue.
