A changing calendar
The National Garden Scheme currently identifies 27 dog-friendly gardens in Shropshire for its 2026 season. These are often private gardens with a small number of opening dates, so use the live calendar rather than relying on an old list.
Check the individual garden
Open each garden’s page to confirm that dogs are welcome on the date you plan to visit. Most ask for dogs to remain on fixed short leads, but arrangements, parking, accessibility, refreshments and payment methods differ.
Plan a considerate visit
Private gardens can have narrow paths, wildlife areas and resident animals. Keep your dog close, clean up promptly and choose another outing if a busy garden would not suit your dog.
